VIVA10 - REGISTRATION OPEN/ Vienna Valentine 2025 - Austria's biggest international LGBTIQ+ sports weekend

The tenth edition of the Vienna Valentine is just around the corner, and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever!

From 14 to 16 February 2025, we’ll be celebrating love, inclusivity, and the thrill of competition in true Viennese style. This year, there’s even more to be excited about: for the very first time, badminton will be part of the action, hosted by none other than SV Aufschlag Wien!

With three fantastic competitions and two phenomenal sports clubs at the helm, Vienna Valentine is set to break records, shatter barriers, and champion diversity like never before.

The volleyball and badminton tournament will be hosted by SV Aufschlag Wien and the masters swimmers of SC Diana/Kraulquappen Wien make VIVA¹⁰ Austria's biggest international LGBTIQ+ sports weekend!

The Badminton section of Sportverein Aufschlag Wien is excited to welcome you to the badminton competition of the Vienna Valentine 2025 – VIVA 10. It is high time, as the tournament celebrates its 10^th edition, that badminton– one of the most popular sports in the LGBTIQ+ community – became a part of it along side the already established swimming and volleyball competitions.

The tournament will be offered as a doubles competition only. All genders are welcome!

The planned competition format consists of a round robin followed by a knock-out stage and is subject to change depending on the number of registrations.

Please indicate your skill level accurately so that we can organise a fair and exciting tournament for all participants. You can use the following description to help assess your competition level:

·        A/B+: Competitive level with extensive tournament experience

·        B-: Competitive level with tournament experience

·        C+: Recreational level with some tournament experience.

·        C-:Recreational level with no or very limited tournament experience

Note that for registering to play it is recommended that you have a partner and indicate their first, last name and E-Mail address. If you don’t have a partner at time of registration, the organising team will do it’s outmost to find you one – a.k.a. set you up for a “blind date”.

In case of insufficient registrations for any given level, the organisers reserve the right to merge levels or assign players to an alternative level. The players will be informed via E-Mail should this be the case.

For the tenth edition of VIVA, Aufschlag is excited to welcome you to its first Basketball 3x3 Tournament! Sign up is available for singles, duos, or teams of 3 or 4 players. If you don't have a full team, the organisation will do its best to set you up. There will be one league for all skill levels. All genders are welcome, we lay focus on providing a FLINTA* safe space!
