Das Aufschlag Wien Logo bekommt ein frisches und inklusiveres Design

Das Original-Logo von Aufschlag Wien war bereits eine farbenfrohe Hommage an die Pride-Flagge. Jetzt haben wir es weiterentwickelt und uns dafür entschieden, die Farben der Progress-Flagge zu verwenden. Diese Entscheidung spiegelt unsere Anerkennung der kontinuierlichen Entwicklung und Diversität in unserer Gemeinschaft wider.

Aber was bedeutet eigentlich die Progress-Flagge? Ursprünglich im Jahr 2018 von dem Designer Daniel Quasar entworfen, strebt die Progress-Flagge an, die Vielfalt innerhalb der LGBTIQ+ Community zu repräsentieren. Sie enthält zusätzliche Streifen in den Farben Schwarz und Braun, um marginalisierte LGBTIQ+ Personen of Color hervorzuheben, sowie die Farben Rosa, Hellblau und Weiß, die die Transgender-Flagge darstellen. Es ist wichtig zu erwähnen, dass diese Flagge nicht den Anspruch erhebt, alle Minderheiten explizit zu repräsentieren, sondern sie steht symbolisch für den ständigen Fortschritt und die kontinuierliche Entwicklung in der Gemeinschaft.

Im Zuge der Neugestaltung unseres Logos haben wir die Typografie leicht aktualisiert, aber dabei den unverwechselbaren Mix aus Groß- und Kleinbuchstaben unseres ursprünglichen Designs beibehalten. Dieser anspruchsvolle Ansatz stellt sicher, dass das neue Design an das reiche Erbe unseres Clubs anknüpft, während es gleichzeitig ein Zeichen für unser Streben nach Inklusivität und Fortschritt setzt.

„Mit diesem neuen Logo wollen wir ein starkes Signal senden: Aufschlag Wien ist ein Verein, der für alle offen ist“, betont unser Vereinspräsident Gerhard Marchl. „Die Farben der Progress-Flagge stehen symbolisch für die Vielfalt und Inklusivität, die wir in unserem Verein fördern. Wir hoffen, dass das neue Logo dazu beitragen wird, unsere Botschaft der Akzeptanz und des Miteinanders weiter zu verbreiten.“

Aufschlag Wien sieht gespannt in die Zukunft und wird mit seinem neuen Logo weiterhin stolz seine Mission verfolgen, den Sport in der LGBTIQ+ Community zu fördern und zu unterstützen.

Vienna Beach Trophy 2023 – Facts

The 2023 edition of our traditional Vienna Beach Trophy will take place on August 4th – 5th, 2023. The VBT has become one of the biggest LGBTIQ tournaments in Europe played by beach rules. This year again, the Vienna Beach Trophy is hosted by Aufschlag Wien in cooperation with Vienna’s Queer Melange.

Male and mixed teams consist of two persons, the women’s competition will be played as Queen of the Court format.

We will be playing on up to nine beach volleyball courts at Beachvolleyballzentrum Schmelz.

Liability

The participants are responsible for their own health. Please note that the organizers cannot be held liable for any damages or costs in case the tournament has to be cancelled due to official regulations. In this case, of course, the tournament fees will be refunded. Participants will be informed about the applicable safety and hygiene measures in a timely manner.

Vienna Valentine9 – Break ice. Break records!

After an (unwilling) 4 years of break, mainly due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, the ninth edition of the Vienna Valentine Tournament made a comeback at the weekend of the 17th to the 19th of February 2023. More than 280 athletes came together for VIVA9. Austria’s largest international sports event for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex athletes and friends offering swimming and volleyball competitions.

The swimming tournament was organized by SC Diana/Kraulquappen. In total, more than 151 swimmers representing various clubs, most of them from abroad, took part in the competitions. For more information and the final results, you can visit : https://a-timing.wien/events/9th-vienna-valentein-2023/

The volleyball tournament, hosted by Sportverein Aufschlag Wien, attracted more than 129 competitors and was carried out in three categories: A/B+, B- and C. A total of 19 teams – a record number – from Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Switzerland competed for the crystal medals. The team “Maleange” from Vienna made the first place in level A/B+, the “Backdoor Boys” from Ljubljana prevailed in B-, and team “Peppermint Boys” from Stuttgart, won the final of level C.

After an intensive sports day, athletes, supporters and friends celebrated together at the official after the party powered  by „is gay“ at Camera Club.
